    Dr. Harshvardhan Singh Chauhan

    Dr. H. V. S. Chauhan, President  – NPCC, Doctorate in Agronomy (Haryana Agricultural University), with specialization in Weed Control.

    He began his career with Indofil in the Agro Industry in 1972 having various assignments in capacities of Sales and Marketing. In 1991 he joined the then Ciba Geigy (now Syngenta) as Head of Product Research and Development. During his tenure at Ciba Geigy, many new products were registered which subsequently proved beneficial to Indian Farming Industry.

    In 1995 he took over as Head of Agro Business Division at Indofil Chemicals Company. He is credited with initiating and developing the company’s business in the International Agro Chemical arena. Ever since, the company has moved on to a fast growth track with distribution arrangements in more than 92 countries across the globe. His vast knowledge and varied experience spans over the domestic as well as International agrochemical markets. He has participated as well as convened many symposiums and seminars at various national and International forums. Today Indofil is one of the fastest growing agrochemical organizations in the country.

    Dr Chauhan is on the Boards of Crop Life India and  Crop Care Federation of India. He upholds and actively supports the cause of Indian agriculture and the Industry as a whole. It is these two prime associations which  play an important role in the formulation of national policies on Agriculture.

    Summary

    With more than 30 years of experience in the human resources field, Mr. Deolekar is of the opinion that business targets cannot be achieved without continuously investing in people. He believes it is critical to align individuals, teams and management to the overarching ambition of the organization. Once this is achieved, a common goal can be reached. A firm believer in two-way communication, training, talent identification and development, Mr. Deolekar puts into practice, the belief that people are, indeed, a company’s most valuable asset. At Indofil, Mr. Deolekar, is a key member of the CEO task force committed to make the company innovation and people focused.

    Prior to joining Indofil in 2009, Mr. Deolekar held several senior positions in premier companies including Greaves Cotton, National Organic Chemical Industries Limited, Indian Organic Chemicals Limited, HLL and PepsiCo. During his tenure, he has led several special initiatives, including designing and developing of a sales academy and plant academy. He has also lead talent integration during Mergers & Acquisitions and has successful track record of efficiently navigating contensious execution of voluntary retirement schemes, strikes and plant level disputes. A believer in dialogue and arbitration, he has to his credit nearly 130 cases settled out of court.

    In addition to the breadth and depth of wide corporate experience, Mr. Deolekar has a passion for teaching and mentoring young talent. He is an alumni and visiting faculty of Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad and a visiting faculty of Management institutes such as Indian Institute of Management, Rohtak, Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Maharashtra Institute of Labour Studies. In addition, he has been guiding prospective students on national level competition between All India Management Institutes, conducted by the Bombay Chamber of Commerce.

    Led the PS Team towards making Indofil Industries Limited rank 5th in – BEST IN THE INDUSTRY – GREAT PLACE TO WORK and 71st in TOP 100. This achievement is a feather in his Cap.

    He started his career in 1982 as Asst. Professor of Entomology at Konkan Krishi University, Dapoli, Maharashtra, with responsibilities of Teaching, Research and Extension activities.

    He then moved to the Plant Protection Industry in 1985 joining a German Company Hoechst India followed by stint at Bayer India. His responsibilities included product evaluations and registrations of Hostathion, Baycor, Bayleton, Sencor etc. He was entrusted with the task of finding out spectrum of efficacy and application techniques for Imidacloprid.

    He then joined Indofil in 1991 ,as Marketing Controller, looking after the core product Mancozeb besides handling regulatory affairs. At this juncture, Indofil faced a major marketing challenge with the overnight withdrawal of all brands by the overseas collaborator. With dedicated efforts from the field force and team spirit coupled with strong support from Management, Indofil displayed not only a rare power of survival but emerged as one of the top Indian Company in the Industry.

    This success led to his taking over the reins of Sales in 1995 as Chief Sales Manager. With autonomy, and taking the Indian scenario into consideration, more products were added to the range. Geographical expansion ensured steady progress and there was no looking back!

    In 2005 he took over Technical and Business Development activities and is instrumental in registering and introducing novel chemistries from overseas collaborators. He plays a crucial role in the defence and registration of products nationally and internationally. Indofil products are now registered in over 90 countries including regulated markets like EU,USA,Brazil. He was also responsible for smooth transfers of Dithane registrations in Europe after the acquisition DOW’s European Dithane business. Mancozeb review in Europe is a major challenge and Indofil is collaborating well with other partners to counter it!

    In 2015 ,he took over reins of R&D which is specialist in developing cost effective and environmentally processes for generics and is extending major helping hand to upcoming synthesis plant. Emphasis is also given for development of novel formulations considering the future trend. GLP certified Analytical lab is engaged in generating five batch and physChem reports.Besides agrochemicals , R&D is also developing newer products for specilaity chemicals used in plastics, leather, coating and textile Industry.

    Indofil is heading towards becoming a major Global player and Dr. Pawar is very much a part of this success story.

  • Ram Chander Bishnoi

    Ram Chander Bishnoi

    Mr. Ram Chander Bishnoi, Chief Operating Officer(Global I – Agro). Mr. Bishnoi joined Indofil in 1989 and has worked in different capacities at various locations in the Agro Business Division. He is presently in charge and responsible for Agro Domestic Business.

    Initially, Mr. Bishnoi handled the Company’s business in West and North regions and during his tenure, simplified the process of business in these regions. He took over the All-India sales responsibility in 2006 at Head Office and streamlined the entire distribution net work through different projects.

    As Head of Domestic Business in 2008, he set the direction for marketing, sales and product launches. Dedicated efforts resulted in expansions of Regions, Manpower and reach across India.

    He also innovated the process for launching and establishing new products in the market. Brand building and popularising the product is now the expertise of Mr. Bishnoi. The recent launched products like RIMON, MOXIMATE, AVTAR, MERGER, SOCIETY, SPRINT and TOKEN bear witness to this expertise!

    Taking on additional responsibility, Mr. Bishnoi has worked as Project Manager for SAP implementation. Today all the processes in S&D are well written and are in implementation mode due to his efforts.

    He is instrumental for creating one of the best and largest team in the country. Through his initiatives, the Company today has a well established infrastructure of 9 Regional offices, 27 Depots all equipped with SAP connectivity and electronic communication system. The Business is conducted by 325 techno-commercially qualified field staff across the country supported by a large distribution net work of 3200 distributors and 28000 dealers. The business is backed up by a team of 18 Marketing officers, 9 Technical officers and 9 Accounts officers.

    Mr. Bishnoi also has another very successful team in place, to handle Bulk and Technical Business. This team effectively handles 8 key accounts, 3 co-marketing accounts and 23 direct accounts to supply technical and products in Bulk to other MNCs and Indian companies.

    Mr. Bishnoi received his B.Sc. Agriculture [HONS.] fromPunjabAgricultureUniversityand PGDBM fromDelhi. He has successfully completed trainings at ASCI, Hyderabad.

  • Narendra C. Rane

    Mr. Narendra Rane, Chief Operating Officer (Global II – Agro & Specialty)


    Mr. Rane joined Indofil in 1994 as a Sr. Product Executive – Insecticide, Agro Business Division, Head office, Mumbai. In the first two years of his Indofil career he was very much involved in product management of the Agrochemicals Business Division. In 1996 he was assigned the responsibility of establishing Indofil’s business in the international arena. Since then he has ably handled various functions in international business viz registration, territory management, Business co-ordination and successfully taken on the role of heading International Business, in the position of General Manager, Vice President and Sr. Vice President.

     

    In 2008 he has assumed additional responsibility as Projects Monitor and Strategy Head, affiliated to CEO Office and is instrumental in defining and implementing Vision, Mission and long term Strategy of Indofil. As a Project Monitor he has spear headed a number of projects in strategy implementation, leadership development, value dissemination workshops, reorganization of Indofil, establishment of growth office, to name a few. In his presence responsibility he is responsible for growth and operations of  B2B international business, Specialty chemicals Business, Synthesis business and Special projects.

     

    Mr. Rane is on the board of Crop Life India.

     

    Mr. Rane has a Bachelor and a Masters Degree in Agriculture from the Konkan Krishi University. He has also completed Advance Management Program from Harvard Business School.

     

  • Dr. Amar Nath Chandrani

    Dr. Amar Nath Chandrani

    Dr. Amar Nath Chandrani, Sr. VP – Marketing & EBDC. Amar made a beginning of his carrier (after completing Ph.D. in Plant Pathology) in Indofil in Dec, 1992 as a Development Officer in North Region of Agro Business Division of Indofil.

    He attended Management Development Programs at reputed Institutes like IIM – Ahmadabad and University of Pennsylvania (Wharton School).

     

    Amar worked for four years in North Region in Product Development and Marketing and thereafter shifted to Head Office Mumbai to handle Mancozeb as a Product Manager. Since then he has worked in various capacities in Product Management and Marketing for Domestic and International Market (Sr. Product Manager, Marketing Manager, Chief Manager – Marketing, General Manager-Marketing). In addition to Marketing, Amar handled Institutional sales for 2 years in Domestic Market.

    Amar has made immense contribution in last 15 years in the areas of new product Development / Launch / branding, creating proprietary products. With the help of strong team of Product Managers, expanded Core, Strategic and Traded product range of agrochemicals at Indofil from merely 7 – 8 products to > 50.

    Besides this he set the strategic direction for the synthesis & launch of various agrochemicals technical molecules and took the range of own manufactured molecules to eight from one. He conceived the idea of various proprietary fungicide mixtures formulations (viz; Avtar, Merger and Sprint), all 3 are patented in India and successfully commercialized. He worked in very close co-ordination with manufacturing on capacity expansion projects, with QA and R&D for setting new standards in quality, with R&D on various synthesis and formulation projects. He contributed immensely in driving up the profitability through various strategic moves in co – ordination with front and back end.

    Amar has travelled extensively in India and all major agro chemically important countries for various assignments and acquired vast knowledge about agrochemicals, and crop pest problems. Indofil has immensely benefited on account if this in driving the growth strategy for the organization.

  • Dr. Atchutuni L. Rao

    Dr. Atchutuni L. Rao

    Dr. Atchutuni L. Rao, Director – Manufacturing, Operations and Safety,  joined Indofil in February 2012.  Prior to joining Indofil,  he worked with Clariant Chemicals India Limited and at Clariant International for 19 years in various positions as Technical Manager, General Manager Production , as Vice President and Head of Roha Site.

    Dr. Rao has a Bachelors Degree in Chemical Technology from UDCT, Mumbai, M.Tech Degree from IIT, Delhi and Ph.D in Chemistry from South Gujarat University.

  • Chintamani D Thatte

    Chintamani D Thatte

    Mr. Chintamani D Thatte, Head Compliance and Company Secretary joined Indofil in November, 2012. He is a Compliance Officer of Indofil and heads Company Secretarial, Legal, Litigation and Compliance functions across the Company.

    He has 23 years of post qualification experience in manufacturing industry in various fields, apart from Legal & Compliance functions. He has worked with well known companies namely C.K. Birla Group, Lona industries Ltd, MEK Engineering and Const (I) Ltd and Mukand iron & Steel Works Ltd. Prior to joining Indofil, he worked with C.K. Birla Group company Indian Smelting & Refining Co Ltd (Now NeoSym Industry Ltd) for 19 years in various capacities as General Manager (Legal) & Company Secretary, Asst Vice President (Commercial & Legal) & Company Secretary and Vice President & Company Secretary. Since 2006 he was given additional responsibility as Head of Auto Components Plant at Thane. His other significant contributions were formation of foreign collaboration and joint venture, successful completion of public issue of Group Company, implementation of various ideas and cost savings projects, enhancement of production without additional capital investment, setting up of Greenfield expansion project of Rs 250 crores and execution of major land sale deals.

    He has done his Graduation in Commerce (B.com) from Mumbai University and is a Qualified Company Secretary holding Fellowship of The Institute of Company Secretaries of India.
